Promoters Background and History
Rockwool Insulation India is in course of the project establishing a green field factory for production of stone wool insulation products. The new factory will be set up on the west coast of the Gujarat State in Special Economic Zone offering proper facilities. Planned capacity of the factory is around 30,000 tons of stone wool products per year.
The construction started in the first quarter of 2010. The production is planned to start in the first quarter of 2011.
The factory will, when fully in production, employ approximately 200 persons.
Rockwool Insulation India is promoted by Rockwool International A/S. The Investments in Fixed Assets will be car-ried out through a joint venture between Rockwool International A/S and Kaefer Punj Lloyd. Rockwool International A/S will take 75% of the shares of the company Rockwool (India). With this investment the Rockwool Group is entering a new high potential market and opens opportunities for export to the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, which are big markets for technical insulation.
